Daejeon City Supports ‘Demonstration Testbed’ for Companies with Innovative Technologies
Daejeon City has selected five local companies possessing innovative technologies to support demonstration testbeds.
On the 11th, Daejeon City announced that it will call for companies to participate in the ‘2023 Customized Demonstration Testbed Support Project for Companies’.
This project, launched for the first time this year, is characterized by moving away from the traditional simple budget support method to provide customized support by identifying companies’ needs such as space, facilities, and equipment required for demonstration.
The target applicants are local small and venture companies aiming to commercialize prototypes or services with innovative technologies applied through demonstration.
Companies wishing to participate must apply either individually or by forming a consortium with universities or research institutes.
Daejeon City plans to accept applications for participation until the 7th of next month, then select the supported companies through an evaluation process.
Selected companies will carry out the project until October next year after signing an agreement. These companies will receive support including demonstration costs of up to approximately 150 million KRW, testbeds reflecting company needs, expert consultation for smooth demonstration execution, and issuance of demonstration certificates for market development.
For more detailed information about the call for applications, please check the Daejeon City website, the Daejeon Technopark Daejeon Enterprise Information Portal, or contact the Technology Commercialization Office at Daejeon Technopark.
Meanwhile, Daejeon City announced the ‘Plan to Establish Daejeon as a Demonstration Testbed City’ last month to promote innovative growth of companies and development of new industries.
The plan was unveiled outlining the creation of a testbed environment based on urban infrastructure, four implementation strategies for systematic demonstration support, and 12 action tasks.
