'Authentic Small Brand Growth'... A Festival-Style Exhibition Coexisting Fashion Culture and Business Content
An exhibition heralding the dawn of an era of authentic small brands is set to open.
Busan City will hold the "2023 Busan International Footwear, Textile & Fashion Exhibition (Passion & Fashion)" at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1 from the 13th to the 15th.
"Paepae Busan" is the only complex exhibition in Korea dedicated to small and medium-sized footwear, textile, and fashion brands.
Serving as a business partner, it shares experiences between small and medium footwear and fashion brands and consumers through fashion culture, facilitates meetings with companies possessing excellent technology, and supports their entry into overseas markets.
Marking its 31st anniversary this year and standing at the starting point toward its new 40th anniversary, "Paepae Busan" is preparing a new vision through multifaceted analysis of the industrial environment and future identity, and will begin implementing changes starting this year.
Reflecting analyses from consumer trend and marketing experts, the exhibition focuses on the "authentic growth of small brands."
In particular, it will attract a large number of domestic and international small and medium footwear and fashion brands, transforming the event into a festival-style exhibition that fuses diverse fashion culture and business content.
This year, Paepae Busan’s main events include ▲Opening Ceremony ▲Exhibition Hall Operation ▲Business Consultation Meetings ▲Industry Trend Seminars, among others.
The exhibition hall will host 382 companies related to small and medium footwear, textiles, and fashion, operating a total of 350 booths.
At the Industry Trend Seminar held at 1 PM on the 13th, in line with this year’s attempts at change, keynote speeches will be delivered by branding expert and author of "This is a Book for Small Brands," CEO Lee Geunsang, and Jordan Hanauer, CEO of Vans Korea, a global footwear fashion brand that started as a small brand.
Additionally, footwear enthusiast Lee Sangmin and street fashion brands listed on Musinsa such as Codegraphy, Lemad, Day, and Anoblier will participate as partners, lending strength to the realization of the vision.
Moreover, various side events will be held, including a street culture show, custom shoe convention, global business fair, and fashion show, offering opportunities to participate in both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) events, contests, and citizen participation activities.
