NHIS Hosts 2023 International Social Security Association Expert Seminar
The National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) will hold the '2023 International Social Security Association (ISSA) Expert Seminar' over three days starting from the 10th.
The seminar, jointly hosted by NHIS and ISSA, brought together key personnel from major ISSA member organizations worldwide to derive strategies and challenges for enhancing the coverage and service quality of health insurance systems. The event was attended by over 80 healthcare officials from 26 countries, including the East Asia region and Africa.
Lee Hae-jong, President of the Health Insurance Research Institute at the Corporation, is delivering a welcome speech at the ISSA Expert Seminar Welcome Ceremony.

In his welcoming remarks, Lee Hae-jong, President of the Health Insurance Research Institute, stated, "Achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) is a common goal of the international community, and it is necessary to seek feasible and innovative policy measures in response to changing demographic structures and medical environments." He added, "We hope to share insights and experiences for sustainable health policies through this seminar."
