Yongsan-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Hee-young) has introduced a unique district administration promotion using bus stop advertisements.
This is to increase attention to Yongsan's main promotional media such as Yongsan AlimTalk, Yongsan-gu News (newsletter), Instagram, YouTube, blog, and Twitter, and to deliver district news more efficiently.
The advertising period is from October 10 to November 9.
Bus stop advertisements are outdoor media with high visibility and contact rates, as they are directly exposed not only to bus users but also to pedestrians and drivers passing by the stops. The district put great effort into concept planning and selecting advertising models to enhance advertising effectiveness.
The advertising concept is the retro-themed ‘Yongsan Convenience Store’ and ‘Yongsan Index.’ It signifies “Yongsan communicating closely with residents, Yongsan where everything you want exists,” which is reflected in the promotional media operated by the district. Through these media, you can also experience “Yongsan where various fields such as culture, environment, history, and global coexist.”
The advertising model is Choi Byung-joo, an administrative officer at Itaewon 1-dong Community Service Center, who is active as Yongsman on Yongsan-gu’s YouTube channel. A public official working on the front lines of administration directly participated in the advertisement.
Officer Choi Byung-joo said, “I am proud to participate as an advertising model for Yongsan-gu Office,” and added, “I hope this retro-themed advertisement attracts the interest of not only the elderly but also the 2030 generation.”
The bus stop advertisements are installed at 12 bus stops in the area: ▲Namyeong Station (Seoul Station direction) ▲Namyeong Station (Yongsan Station direction) ▲Yongmaru Hill, Hyochang Park Prugio ▲Yongsan Electronics Market, Electron Land ▲Ichon Station ▲Seobinggo Station intersection ▲In front of Hangang Middle School ▲Yongsan-gu Office, Crown Hotel ▲Dongbinggo-dong ▲Hannam-dong Hyperion ▲Entrance of Boseong Girls' Middle and High School ▲Namsan Gymnasium.
