GS25 Launches Limited Edition Product Packaging in Collaboration with Sandol for Hangul Day
GS Retail's convenience store GS25 announced on the 6th that it will showcase limited edition product packaging and promotional materials featuring Sandoll fonts in celebration of Hangeul Day on the 9th of this month.
Throughout October, GS25 will offer products such as lunch boxes, rice balls, sandwiches, and items at Cafe25 using Sandoll’s independently developed ‘Sandoll Yongbieocheonga’ font. This font is one of Sandoll Cloud’s representative fonts that restores the Hangeul characters found in Yongbieocheonga, the first Korean literary work recorded in Hangeul after the creation of Hunminjeongeum.
Limited edition diaries, handkerchiefs, and other items featuring Sandoll’s Hangeul fonts will also be produced and offered as prizes to customers. Customers can accumulate GS&POINT by purchasing 29 promotional products including lunch boxes, triangular kimbap, sandwiches, and steamed buns until the end of October. For each product purchased, one stamp is generated on the event screen within the ‘Our Neighborhood GS’ app, and collecting three stamps allows entry into the prize draw. The event will end early once all prizes are claimed.
Last Liberation Day, the company collaborated with Sandoll to present a Taegukgi diorama set composed of acrylic models and acrylic plates (floor) featuring phrases written in Sandoll fonts such as ‘Liberation’, ‘Freedom’, ‘Manse’, ‘When That Day Comes’, and ‘Words and Writing Are the Spirit of Our People’, which received enthusiastic responses from customers.
Additionally, promotional events were prepared for approximately 1,600 products, and Hangeul fonts were applied to promotional materials, social media, and the Our Neighborhood GS app to create a Hangeul Day atmosphere.
