GS Construction Opens 'GS Construction R&D Center' in Seocho-dong
GS Construction has opened the ‘GS Construction R&D Center’ in Seocho-dong to strengthen its research and development capabilities.

On the 5th, GS Construction announced on the 6th that it held an inauguration ceremony for the ‘GS Construction R&D Center’ located in JW Tower, Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, where approximately 330 existing GS Construction R&D personnel have moved in.
The center will accommodate a total of about 330 employees, including around 270 executives and staff of RIF Tech, GS Construction’s specialized R&D organization, and about 60 executives and staff from subsidiaries engaged in technology-driven new businesses such as GS Elevator and GPC.
With the opening of the R&D Center in Seocho-dong, GS Construction explained that the R&D personnel, who were previously dispersed across the headquarters building in Cheongjin-dong, Jongno-gu, and the technology research institute located in Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, can now conduct comprehensive research and development activities in a single space. They added that by securing a large-scale research institute with good accessibility and equipped with both research and experimental facilities, they have gained the advantage of attracting excellent R&D talent.
Going forward, GS Construction plans to further enhance its technological capabilities by leveraging outstanding R&D professionals, the latest R&D infrastructure, and close cooperation with domestic and international research institutions and field sites to create synergy. Additionally, they will also promote activities supporting technology-centered startups.
