Gangnam-gu Hosts '2023 Eokkaedongmu Special Sports Day'
Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) held the "2023 Eokkaedongmu Special Sports Festival" on the 5th at Milal School in Irwon-dong (90 Irwon-ro), with 450 athletes with developmental disabilities participating.
A total of 19 teams from developmental disability facilities in Seoul, including Gangnam-gu, participated in this festival. The athletes from the participating institutions practiced the sports events for six months in preparation for the competition. The district distributed physical activity materials to the participating institutions and provided education and monitoring on exercise teaching methods and guidance for the competition events.
The athletes competed in seven events where they showcased their skills honed over time: ▲ Floor Curling ▲ Moving Basket (Basketball) ▲ Sports Stacking Relay (Jumbo Cup Stacking) ▲ Sports Relay ▲ Strike ▲ Grip Strength ▲ Seated Medicine Ball Throw.
