Dong-Eui University Hosts the 46th Dong-Eui Family Neighbor Love Blood Donation Relay
The 46th Neighborly Love Blood Donation Relay for the second semester of the 2023 academic year at Dong-Eui University was held for two weeks from September 13 to September 26 at the Blood Donation House Dong-Eui University Center on the first floor of the College of Life Sciences building.
A total of 546 people participated in this blood donation relay, including 411 whole blood donors and 135 plasma donors. From the first event to this 46th relay, a total of 52,763 people have participated in blood donation.
By department, the Department of Nursing had the highest number of participants with 39 people, followed by the Department of Clinical Pathology with 24 people, and the Departments of Police Administration, Mechanical Automotive Robotics Parts Engineering, and Computer Engineering each with 22 people.
In terms of participation rate relative to the number of enrolled students, the Department of Clinical Pathology ranked first, the Department of Creative Software Engineering ranked second, and the Department of Nursing ranked third. The Korean Red Cross plans to award scholarships to these outstanding blood donation departments.
Participants in the blood donation relay received basic blood donation souvenirs as well as additional movie tickets or cultural gift certificates. Prizes and scholarships for outstanding donors were also separately awarded as part of the event.

The blood donation relay is co-hosted by the Dong-Eui University Regional Collaboration Center and the Korean Red Cross Busan Blood Center, with support from the University Innovation Support Project Group and the Student Council.
