Starting in 2024, Korea Polytechnic VII University will recruit students from departments related to machinery, mechatronics, and electrical engineering in the first semester of their second year to participate in a company-customized special lecture program. Faculty from Korea Polytechnic VII University and experts from Coupang Fulfillment Service will directly provide the education. Subsequently, students will undergo field training and internship programs in the second semester, leading to employment. Specific details will be finalized after the memorandum of understanding.
Changwon Special City plans to actively review and reflect any necessary support once the detailed educational content between Coupang Fulfillment Service and Korea Polytechnic VII University is confirmed, aiming to establish the company-tailored logistics professional training program as a leading model.
The logistics talents trained through this agreement are expected to be employed by Coupang Fulfillment Service after completing the designated process. By providing high-quality logistics professional education and employment opportunities to the youth of Changwon Special City, it is anticipated to significantly contribute to creating urban infrastructure conditions where young people can settle down.

Changwon Special City will also actively support to ensure fruitful results.”

Meanwhile, Coupang Fulfillment Service currently operates four fulfillment centers (logistics centers) and two camps (delivery forward bases) in Dudong, Jinhae-gu, and Palyong-dong, Uichang-gu, employing about 3,000 people. They plan to hire an additional 400 employees in the future, significantly contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.
