Remittance fee 5,000 KRW per transaction... Hana Bank expands 'Benefit Overseas Remittance' to the UK
Recipients Can Also Receive Without Additional Fees
Hana Bank is expanding its overseas remittance service, which charges a flat fee of 5,000 KRW per transaction regardless of the remittance amount and does not deduct fees from the recipient, to the United Kingdom.
On the 4th, Hana Bank announced that it will extend the target countries for its non-face-to-face mobile overseas remittance service for individual customers, 'Benefit Overseas Remittance,' from the United States to the United Kingdom.
This service is characterized by a flat fee of 5,000 KRW per transaction regardless of the remittance amount. Additionally, recipients in the US and UK can receive the full principal amount sent by the remitter without any additional fees deducted by overseas banks.
The service, now expanded to the UK, is the first in domestic banks to use the UK Faster Payments Service (FPS) network, allowing the remittance to be deposited into the recipient's account on the same day. Moreover, recipients can receive the remittance even on holidays in the UK.
The Benefit Overseas Remittance service can be used through Hana Bank's mobile banking application 'Hana One Q' or the dedicated remittance app 'Hana EZ.' Remittances to the US can be made without time restrictions, while remittances to the UK can be made during banking hours. In the future, the UK will also remove the time restrictions for remittances.
