My children saved me and taught me how to live differently in this world," adding, "If I hadn't wanted to live for my children, I would have walked a much darker path." She also said, "It was only at 48 that I came to understand who I really am. I feel like I am in a transitional phase as a human being," and "In some ways, I don't feel like the person I was over the past 10 years, and I started reducing my film work about seven years ago."
Jolie revealed, "There was a lot I needed to heal, and I am still finding my place," saying, "'Atelier Jolie' is part of that healing process, and working with trusted people in a creative space has been healing." She added, "I want to change many aspects of my life. This is a forward-looking transformation."
