A taxi driver in his 50s, who had been in conflict over unpaid wages, suffered serious injuries after attempting self-immolation in front of his company and was transported to a hospital.
According to the Yangcheon Police Station in Seoul, at around 8:26 a.m. on the 26th, a male taxi driver in his 50s, Mr. A, who belongs to a taxi company located on the road in Sinwol-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, poured a flammable substance over his body and attempted self-immolation. It was understood that Mr. A had been staging a one-person protest in front of the company over unpaid wages.
