[Special Stock] IM Shows Strength on Entry into 85 Trillion Won AI Anti-Drone Market
IM is showing strong performance following news of its entry into the AI (Artificial Intelligence)-based anti-drone market.
As of 2:25 PM on the 26th, IM is trading at 7,490 KRW, up 5.64% compared to the previous day.
On this day, IM announced that it has signed a joint operation agreement with Kaitu Technology (hereinafter Kaitu), a specialist company in AI anti-drone total solutions.
The anti-drone system is designed to detect, identify, and neutralize unidentified hostile drones that invade airspace. It is a field gaining attention recently as a game changer in the defense industry.
Kaitu is the official domestic reseller of Fortem Technologies (hereinafter Fortem), headquartered in the United States. In addition to Fortem’s products, the company offers a wide spectrum of products including long-range radar and hard-kill solutions, providing customized solutions to customers.
Fortem’s radar is based on deep learning AI utilizing data created in collaboration with major U.S. big data institutions and companies. In particular, by using the ‘Micro-Doppler’ method and an accumulated ‘AI Library’ in the radar, the ‘bird identification accuracy’?a core technology of unmanned aerial vehicle radar?is known to be at an industry-leading level.
IM plans to strengthen strategic collaboration with Kaitu in the future to establish a comprehensive cooperative system for the anti-drone business.
