Fallen Police Officer Tests Positive for Methamphetamine and Ecstasy Components
Forensic Service Analysis Results Indicate Drug Use Suspicion
Last month, a current police officer who fell to his death in an apartment in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, was found to have used drugs before his death, supported by detailed forensic analysis results.
On the 25th, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced that they received toxicology test results from the National Forensic Service showing that methamphetamine, ketamine, MDMA (Ecstasy), and new drug substances were detected in the urine, hair, and blood of Officer A, who belonged to the Gangwon Provincial Police Agency and was deceased.
The police have booked Officer A on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act but plan to close the investigation without prosecution due to lack of prosecutorial jurisdiction.

Officer A fell to his death around 5 a.m. on the 27th of last month from the 14th floor of an apartment in Yongsan-gu. The police are investigating 24 people who gathered at this apartment on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
