Lee Sang-il, Mayor of Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, urged employees to pursue bold work through selection and concentration.

View original imageAt the meeting, key promises of the mayor were reported, including ▲activation of policy projects and strengthening of administrative efficiency ▲implementation of revenue collection measures to expand local finances ▲establishment of a strong support system for small business owners ▲creation of an educational ecosystem for nurturing future talents in the Yongin style ▲expansion of robot rehabilitation program operations ▲support and demonstration expansion for smart agriculture in the field ▲creation of a safe environment from infectious diseases ▲expansion of public libraries and remodeling of library complex cultural spaces, along with the 2024 major core task promotion plans by the first vice mayor’s jurisdiction over departments, offices, business sites, and district offices.
At the meeting, Mayor Lee said, "There are certainly budget constraints, but we must not be discouraged and fail to do what needs to be done," adding, "If it is necessary, we need to be bold without missing the timing. Selection and concentration are necessary."
He especially emphasized, "Helping vulnerable groups, the future of youth, welfare for the elderly, and encouraging childbirth are the basic directions of budget allocation," and added, "Along with this, please reflect projects that bring change to Yongin in policies and ensure that there is no neglect in improving the work environment to boost the morale of the public service community."
