71 New 'Gaksok Haengbok Nongjang' Certified in Gyeonggi-do
Gyeonggi Province has completed certification for 71 new farms under the 'Happy Livestock Farm' program.
Now in its sixth year, the 'Happy Livestock Farm' is the only local government livestock animal welfare certification system nationwide, aimed at producing safe livestock products and creating a livestock industry harmonious with people, animals, and the environment.
The 71 farms certified this time include ▲24 Hanwoo cattle farms ▲26 dairy farms ▲13 pig farms ▲5 broiler farms ▲3 laying hen farms.
These farms were finally selected for receiving high scores due to their clean and hygienic rearing environments and efforts to ensure livestock grow comfortably.
Since 2018, a total of 446 farms in Gyeonggi Province have been certified as Happy Livestock Farms.
Gyeonggi Province supports certified farms by assisting with the renovation of barns and quarantine facilities, as well as improvements in landscape facilities and feeding management.
