‘Deullaknallak’ 6 Locations (City Hall, Saha, Sasang, Gangseo, Yeongdo), Science Program for Preschool Children Aged 5-7
‘Deullaknallak’ and National Busan Science Museum, Early Childhood Science Program... Expected Synergy Effect
Busan City and the National Busan Science Museum will operate the "Deullaknallak Science Classroom" for preschool children aged 5 to 7 at six Deullaknallak complex cultural spaces for children from October 11 for about three months.
This "Deullaknallak Science Classroom" is organized mainly in the Deullaknallak complex cultural spaces in the western Busan area to provide children in the western Busan and old downtown areas, where access to scientific infrastructure is relatively low, with opportunities to experience science culture.
The Deullaknallak complex cultural spaces where the science classroom will be held are located on the first floor of City Hall, Saha, Sasang, Gangseo, and Yeongdo.
The science classroom consists of programs that allow children to easily and enjoyably engage with science according to the Nuri curriculum, such as the Sparkling Circuit Lighthouse, Eulachacha Thrower, and Mini Microscope Observation.
It is scheduled to be operated 54 times in total across three courses.
The National Busan Science Museum, which operates excellent early childhood science programs, supports the operation of this science classroom program.
Any preschool child aged 5 to 7 can participate, and the application methods and schedules vary by institution (Deullaknallak), so applicants should check individually and apply. Participation is free, supported by Busan City and the National Busan Science Museum.
The city expects a positive synergistic effect as the family-friendly education, culture, and experience space "Deullaknallak," which is gaining attention, meets the specialized early childhood science program developed by the National Busan Science Museum considering the developmental characteristics and levels of young children through this "Deullaknallak Science Classroom."
Deullaknallak is a core anchor facility of the "15-minute city Busan" and aims to establish 200 locations by 2026. Currently, 29 locations are open and operating, and 47 more are under development.
