KakaoBank Joins as Participating Bank for Gyeongnam Shinbo's 'Special Guarantee Loan'
For Individual Business Owners Located in Gyeongnam Region
KakaoBank announced on the 22nd that it will participate as a handling bank for the 'Gyeongsangnam-do First Transaction Preferential Special Guarantee Loan' supported by the Gyeongnam Credit Guarantee Foundation (Gyeongnam Shinbo).
The 'Gyeongsangnam-do First Transaction Preferential Special Guarantee Loan' is a guarantee loan supported by Gyeongnam Shinbo with a scale of 60 billion KRW for small business owners and individual entrepreneurs in the Gyeongnam region. Applications are available for businesses with more than one year of operation and a representative's personal credit score (based on NICE credit score) of 840 or higher. However, businesses currently using guarantee loans from guarantee institutions such as the Credit Guarantee Foundation, Credit Guarantee Fund, and Technology Guarantee Fund, as well as certain industries (e-commerce businesses), are excluded.
KakaoBank is the only internet-only bank participating as a special guarantee loan handling institution. Applications can be made non-face-to-face through the KakaoBank application (app).

A KakaoBank official stated, "We have joined as a handling institution for the Gyeongnam Credit Guarantee Foundation's First Transaction Preferential Special Guarantee to reduce the financial burden on small business owners in the Gyeongnam region and assist in securing business funds," adding, "We will continue to provide financial support to individual entrepreneurs and contribute to revitalizing the local economy."
