Gyeonggawon Operates Advanced Technology Exploration Program for Elementary, Middle, and High School Students

View original imageThe Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is operating an advanced technology exploration program for elementary, middle, and high school students in the province.
The agency announced that from the 21st of this month until the end of November, it will pilot a program consisting of 10 sessions for elementary and middle school students in the province to explore the Bio Center within the Gwanggyo Technovalley complex and the agency itself.
The exploration program is divided into a "Bio Science Technology Program," which includes hands-on activities such as cell sample preparation and aspirin synthesis at the Gyeonggi Bio Center, and an "SW Program," which involves drone flight and autonomous robot cars using block coding.
Additionally, the agency plans to operate programs where elementary and middle school students can experience various scientific and technological infrastructures within Gwanggyo Technovalley, such as virtual reality (VR), battle robots, and immersive media.
Kang Seong-cheon, head of the agency, stated, "Through this Gwanggyo Technovalley exploration program, we aim to stimulate the curiosity of youth in the province about science and technology and provide opportunities for them to grow into future science and technology talents."

Meanwhile, this exploration program is part of the "2023 Regional Science Culture Capacity Building Project," supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Lottery Commission, the Korea Creative Foundation, and Gyeonggi-do.
