Boseong-gun Successfully Completes Farming and Village Integration Program with Local Residents
Progress in 20 Villages, Promoting Stable Settlement of Returning Farmers and New Rural Residents
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 20th that the '2023 Village-Level Visiting Integration Education Program' concluded with Yeondong Village in Beolgyo-eup and Beophwa Village in Mundeok-myeon as the final locations.
The 2023 Village-Level Visiting Integration Education Program began on the 21st of last month and was conducted in over 20 villages.
This education was designed to help returnees to farming and rural areas integrate with local residents and settle stably in the villages.
Participants spent time in harmony through experiential programs that included recreational activities and conversations to understand and communicate with each other, learning the importance of integration.
The main programs included sessions to open hearts to one another, making tea sachets using Boseong-gun's specialty tea leaves, and making beeswax candles.
Mr. Kim from Yeondong Village in Beolgyo said, "Although we have lived in the same village and seen each other's faces, we never had time to ask about each other's well-being up close. Through this education, it was very good to have time to get to know each other."
A Boseong-gun official stated, "We hope that through this program, people recognized the differences in life experiences and thoughts, and had the opportunity to acknowledge and respect each other. We will continue to do our best to support the operation of integration programs suited to the county's circumstances with various educational themes that can strengthen the bonds between returnees and original residents."
