Tornado Hits Jiangsu Province, China... 10 Dead, 8 Injured
A tornado struck Jiangsu Province in eastern China, killing at least 10 people and injuring 8.
According to the Chinese state-run news agency Xinhua on the 20th (local time), a powerful tornado swept through Funing County in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, around 8:30 PM the previous day.
The tornado hit the village, causing at least 5 deaths and 4 injuries. However, the injured are reported to be in stable condition.
Earlier that day, around 5:20 PM, a strong tornado also struck the Suqian City area in Jiangsu Province, about 180 km from Yancheng City.
The tornado unexpectedly hit a densely populated area during rush hour, resulting in 5 deaths and 4 serious injuries among those who could not evacuate in time.
