Gokseong-gun Holds Policy Advisory Committee Workshop

Discussion for Future Development and Innovation of Gokseong

Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that it held a Policy Advisory Committee workshop at the Korail Human Resources Development Institute Gokseong Education Center on the 18th.

This workshop was organized as a forum to exchange opinions on newly discovered policies by Gokseong-gun and directions for their development. Thirty participants attended, including Lee Gwi-dong, Deputy Governor of Gokseong-gun, heads of departments and offices, and members of the Policy Advisory Committee.

During the workshop, five major divisions?policy development, health and welfare, agricultural environment, culture and tourism, and industrial economy?engaged in in-depth discussions on their respective policies and topics.

The advisory committee members offered various opinions for new policies based on their expertise and work experience.

In this process, department heads and advisory committee members jointly considered ways to strengthen policy execution and implement effective policy measures.

A special lecture on reviewing the future development and innovation of Gokseong-gun was also conducted. It emphasized the changing policy environment of local autonomy, Gokseong-gun’s response strategies for 2024, and the importance of innovation in local government administration.

Additionally, department heads held in-depth discussions with advisory committee members on key local issues and development directions.

The department heads actively incorporated the advisory committee’s suggestions to seek ways to develop more effective and practical policies.

Lee Gwi-dong, Deputy Governor of Gokseong-gun, said, “This workshop was a valuable time not only to discuss new policies but also for public officials and advisory committee members to communicate and collaborate. Through analysis of the region, we will lead creative and innovative administration and create a happier Gokseong for our residents.”
