Korea Health Industry Development Institute Publishes 'Biohealth Talent Development Project Guide'
The Korea Health Industry Development Institute announced on the 19th that it has published the '2023 Biohealth Talent Development Project Guide' in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
This guide is designed to provide an overview of the current status of biohealth talent development projects carried out by various government ministries. Nine government ministries, including the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, are conducting biohealth talent development projects, and this guide reorganizes the information focusing on what job seekers need.
The guide also includes detailed information such as how to participate in the projects, education reviews, future career paths, and personal costs for trainees. It organizes biohealth talent development projects by subfields, value chain stages, and education levels to make it easier to find relevant information.
Earlier, the government prepared the 'Biohealth Talent Development Plan' in April to foster biohealth as the next leading industry and to cultivate core talents. It has also established and operates a biohealth talent development council. The institute explained that the distribution of this guide is part of these efforts.
The guide will be posted on the websites of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute so that anyone can use it.
Jung Eun-young, Director of the Health Industry Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Health and Welfare, said, "In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution and global technological hegemony competition, the foundation for fostering biohealth as a national core strategic industry is the cultivation of core talents," adding, "We expect that the publication of the project guide will help increase public understanding of biohealth talent development policies and encourage participation."
