Taprun Total Solution, Full Operation of P-OLED Production... New Business 'Smooth Sailing'
One-stop manufacturing parts specialist ‘Toprun Total Solution’ (CEO Park Young-geun) announced on the 19th that it has begun full-scale mass production of stiffeners and Bend PSA, key components for the iPhone 15.
This mass production is part of the company’s major new growth engine, the P-OLED business, with Toprun Total Solution’s Vietnam subsidiary starting its first production run in mid-August. After expanding Building C of the Vietnam subsidiary in June and proactively completing the installation and inspection of CAPA expansion and integrated process line equipment necessary for production, Toprun Total Solution expects to achieve high profitability through this mass production.
Stiffeners and Bend PSA are essential components for enhancing the durability of IT mobile P-OLED. The stiffener is a part that reinforces the shock resistance of the IC circuit chip inside the iPhone, while the Bend PSA is a component designed to prevent scratches when bending flexible circuit substrates. These parts are scheduled to be installed in the newly released iPhone 15.
Based on the mass production of iPhone 15 components, Toprun Total Solution plans to expand the application of stiffeners and Bend PSA to various items where P-OLED is applied, such as tablets and IT devices beyond mobile phones. Considering the possibility that panels of various IT devices will be replaced from LCD to P-OLED in the future, higher profitability is expected. Due to the nature of P-OLED being vulnerable to heat and humidity, reinforcing components that can compensate for this are essential, and Toprun Total Solution is currently conducting continuous product research and development.
