The Organizing Committee of the 2023 Sancheong World Traditional Medicine Anti-Aging Expo in Gyeongnam (hereinafter referred to as the Organizing Committee) held a Business Day event for companies participating in the Traditional Medicine Anti-Aging Industry Pavilion (hereinafter referred to as the Industry Pavilion) on the afternoon of the 18th at the Sancheong Hanbang Family Hotel.
This event was organized to seek cooperation opportunities through business networking among companies, institutions, and buyers related to traditional medicine anti-aging, and to strengthen the foundation for traditional medicine and anti-aging companies to enter the global market.
On this day, about 60 people attended, including Lee Seunghwa, co-chairman and Sancheong County Governor, Ryu Myeonghyeon, Director of the Provincial Industry and Trade Bureau, anti-aging related institutions and participating companies in the province, and overseas buyers participating in the export consultation meeting. The event proceeded in the order of export agreement ceremony, introduction of policies related to traditional medicine and anti-aging, presentation of excellent cases of anti-aging companies in the province, and business networking.

View original imageFirst, an export agreement ceremony was held between companies participating in the Industry Pavilion and overseas buyers participating in the export consultation meeting. A total of $5.2 million in export agreements were concluded between four companies in the health functional food and cosmetics sectors and overseas buyers.
In particular, Company A, which sells health foods, achieved a significant result by signing a $4 million export agreement with a U.S. buyer.
The Gyeongnam Anti-Aging Research Institute, a leading anti-aging institution in the province, and the Jinju Bio Industry Promotion Agency introduced key policies related to traditional medicine and anti-aging.
The Gyeongnam Anti-Aging Research Institute introduced its vision and strategy for fostering the local traditional herbal medicine industry as an institution supporting the growth of the anti-aging industry.
The Jinju Bio Industry Promotion Agency introduced the 'Green Bio Venture Campus Development Project' as a strategy to invigorate the Gyeongnam Anti-Aging and Bio Cluster and secure future new growth engines through fostering the green bio industry.
During the session for sharing excellent company cases, the personalized bio healthcare startup Kicktheher and the handcrafted herbal tea specialist agricultural corporation Cheonggang were introduced as representative cases.
Kicktheher introduced its core competencies that enabled rapid growth in the digital healthcare sector, including securing competitiveness through data-driven marketing and expanding into the global market.
Agricultural Corporation Cheonggang introduced the brand story of Jirisan Cheonggangwon and shared its vision to become a leader in the wellness industry utilizing tradition and nature.
A company representative who attended the event said, "There had been no opportunity for local traditional medicine and anti-aging related entrepreneurs to gather in one place, but thanks to this expo, I was able to meet related entrepreneurs and institutions in one place, gain various information, and have time to interact with overseas buyers, making it a meaningful occasion."
Director Ryu said, "The traditional medicine and anti-aging industry is an industry that can create great opportunities in the global market, and the driving force for the development of this industry is the entrepreneurs participating in the Traditional Medicine Anti-Aging Industry Pavilion."
Governor Lee said, "We will actively strive to make Sancheong a hub in the traditional medicine and anti-aging field through this expo."
Meanwhile, the 2023 Sancheong World Traditional Medicine Anti-Aging Expo Traditional Medicine Anti-Aging Industry Pavilion showcases a variety of products related to traditional medicine, health, and beauty, including health functional foods, cosmetics, and Korean medicine products.
At the entrance of the Industry Pavilion, the Five Elements Product Exhibition Zone displays products related to the five elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), creating a distinctive space where consumers can purchase products suited to their constitution, providing an interesting viewing experience.
In the rest area within the Industry Pavilion, the 'Well-Aging Book Cafe' is operated and available to everyone throughout the event period. About 30 health books that serve as health tonics for the body are exhibited, allowing visitors to gain information on health and anti-aging.
