XYZ Robotics possesses excellent technology in the 3D vision field, which corresponds to the eyes of robots. It also has the capability to design and manufacture grippers, which correspond to the hands of robots. Based on its robot solutions, the company is conducting business applying the following robots in logistics sites: the 'Palletizing' robot that picks various products and stacks them on pallets for inbound logistics at logistics centers; the 'Depalletizing' robot that moves products stacked on pallets to other locations such as conveyor belts; and the 'Piece Picking' robot that picks individual products for packaging and sorting.
LG CNS introduced its 'Robot Integrated Operation Platform' last July. Through this agreement, the robot solutions owned by XYZ Robotics will be newly linked to LG CNS's robot integrated operation platform. All robot solutions provided on the robot integrated operation platform will also be offered in the form of a 'Robot Subscription Service (RaaS, Robot as a Service),' allowing customers to pay and use them as needed.
The two companies have started a project to apply palletizing and depalletizing robots to domestic e-commerce logistics centers. They plan to expand the scope of the business in the future.
