Physical Therapy Department Highest Ratio 13.7 to 1
Honam University’s 2024 academic year early admission closed with an average competition rate of 4.47 to 1.
According to Honam University on the 16th, this early admission recruited 1,632 students and received 7,296 applications.
The Department of Physical Therapy had 521 applicants for 38 spots, resulting in a 13.7 to 1 ratio; the Department of Nursing had 1,258 applicants for 156 spots, an 8.1 to 1 ratio; the Department of Clinical Pathology had 222 applicants for 28 spots, a 7.93 to 1 ratio; and the Department of Dental Hygiene had 302 applicants for 42 spots, a 7.2 to 1 ratio.
Additionally, the Department of Emergency Medical Services had 385 applicants for 56 spots, a 6.9 to 1 ratio; the Department of Food and Nutrition had 109 applicants for 20 spots, a 5.5 to 1 ratio; the Department of eSports Industry had 205 applicants for 39 spots, a 5.3 to 1 ratio; and the Department of Culinary Arts had 297 applicants for 60 spots, a 5 to 1 ratio.
On October 13, the first-round successful candidates for the Department of Nursing, Department of Dental Hygiene, and Department of Physical Therapy under the general student admission track will be announced. After interviews on October 27 (general student admission), the final successful candidates for departments not applying the minimum CSAT score requirement and those passing the interview track will be announced on November 6.
However, departments applying the minimum CSAT score requirement will announce their final successful candidates on December 13.
Honam University waives all application fees and provides scholarships to all successful candidates. Depending on CSAT scores, scholarships range from full tuition exemption for four years to a 25% tuition reduction. For students who do not receive merit scholarships, department head-recommended hope scholarships are provided considering their family circumstances.
In particular, all successful candidates receive the Bogumjari Scholarship. The Bogumjari Scholarship fully waives dormitory admission fees, and for freshmen who do not enter the dormitory, a 500,000 KRW university life support fund is provided.
