Music Content Distribution and Performance Business through Collaboration between Both Companies
YG PLUS, a company specializing in entertainment infrastructure and IP business, announced on the 15th that it has signed a 'Comprehensive Business Agreement (MOU) for Joint Music Business' with Studio Jam. Through this agreement, YG PLUS will comprehensively handle the distribution of Studio Jam's albums and music, and plans to establish a 'K-pop concert business infrastructure' by jointly investing in and producing concert projects with Studio Jam for existing partner labels. Studio Jam is a subsidiary studio of JTBC. It operates music production, management, and concert production businesses based on the IP (intellectual property rights) of its affiliated artists such as La Poem, Liberante, and Forte na.
So far, YG PLUS has built partnerships with labels across various genres by expanding its album and music distribution business. Through this agreement, both companies plan to focus their core competencies to maximize the value of partner labels and their affiliated artists. They will establish a task force team (TFT) and assign specialized personnel to concentrate their business capabilities. Additionally, as the first step in this joint music business, they have decided to support the concert business together with EMA, an artist service company representing artists such as George and Glen Check.
