On the 12th, Kim Hee-su, the governor of Jindo County, conducted a campaign at Jindo-eup Jogum Market to stabilize prices and revitalize traditional markets.
According to the county on the 14th, during the campaign, Governor Kim Hee-su and related officials purchased items such as ssombengi (goby fish), oysters, deumbugi (a local fish), and sirutteok (steamed rice cake), communicated with merchants about their difficulties, and promoted price stabilization and increased use of traditional markets in celebration of Chuseok.

The county is promoting renovation projects for traditional market facilities to enhance convenience and reliability for residents and tourists, and is conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with the origin labeling system for agricultural and marine products within the market.
Governor Kim Hee-su said, “We are making efforts to stabilize prices and revitalize traditional markets for Chuseok,” adding, “We hope that during this Chuseok holiday, people will make purchases at stable prices in the warm and friendly traditional markets.”
Meanwhile, to revitalize the local economy, the county has been selling Jindo Arirang gift certificates at a 10% discount since the 1st.
