Hampyeong-gun Holds Event to Commemorate Gender Equality Week
Hampyeong County held a commemorative event to mark Gender Equality Week.
According to the county on the 13th, the day before, the Hampyeong County Women's Association Council (President Seo Ok-ran) hosted the '2023 Gender Equality Week Commemorative Event' at the theme video hall of Hampyeong Expo Park.
Under the theme "Hampyeong for Gender Equality: Working Together and Caring Together!", this commemorative event was organized to raise broad public interest in promoting gender equality and fostering a culture of equality.
The event was attended by about 300 residents, including members of women's organizations in the Hampyeong area, and featured a pre-performance of ensemble drumming by the Hampyeong Moduri Club, awards for contributors to gender equality, a reading of the Gender Equality Charter, and a special lecture.

County Governor Lee Sang-ik said, "We will actively promote various projects to enhance women's rights and encourage their social participation," adding, "We will do our best to create a more gender-equal Hampyeong."
