Song Joong-gi's 'Hwalan' That Heated Up Cannes Film Festival to Open on October 11
Plus M Entertainment announced on the 12th that the film "Hwalan," which captivated the 76th Cannes Film Festival this year, will be released on October 11.
"Hwalan" depicts the story of a boy, Yeong-gyu (Hong Sa-bin), who wants to escape from a hellish reality and meets the organization's middle boss, Chigeon (Song Joong-ki), with whom he becomes involved. The film stars Song Joong-ki, Hong Sa-bin, and Kim Hyeong-seo. It was produced by Sanai Pictures, known for films such as "New World" (2013), "Asura" (2016), and "Hunt" (2022).

"Hwalan," which was invited to the "Un Certain Regard" section at the 76th Cannes Film Festival held last May, has been officially invited to the "Korean Cinema Today - Special Premiere" session at the 28th Busan International Film Festival opening next month.
