NongHyup Bank and Samsung Sign Business Agreement for Digital Talent Development
Donation of 500 Million KRW to Support Samsung Social Contribution Program
NH Nonghyup Bank announced on the 12th that it has signed a business agreement with Samsung to foster digital talent.
Nonghyup Bank will donate 500 million KRW to the cooperative NGO 'Children and Future Foundation' to support the 'Samsung Youth SW Academy' (SSAFY). Additionally, a 'hands-on project' will be introduced in the training program to help trainees gain experience in the financial sector by working on software projects proposed by Nonghyup Bank.
SSAFY is Samsung's social contribution program that provides software competency enhancement education for young job seekers. Since its launch in 2018, it has produced over 4,000 graduates.
Lee Seok-yong, President of Nonghyup Bank, said, "I hope this agreement will serve as a model case of corporate collaboration to solve youth unemployment," and added, "Nonghyup Bank will continue to contribute to strengthening youth employment competitiveness and job creation through cooperation with SSAFY."
