Silla University and Renault Korea Jointly Host 'Partner Company Quality Convention'
The Smart Manufacturing Advanced Workforce Development Project Group under the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Silla University co-hosted the ‘2023 Renault Korea Motors Supplier Quality Convention’ with the Quality Headquarters of Renault Korea Motors.
On the 8th at 10 a.m., the ‘2023 Renault Korea Motors Supplier Quality Convention’ was held at the Busan Commodore Hotel, inviting over 100 first-tier suppliers of Renault Korea Motors automotive parts.
Attendees included Silla University President Heo Nam-sik, Busan Metropolitan Council Chairman Ahn Seong-min, Renault Korea Motors Manufacturing Headquarters Director Lee Hae-jin, Quality Headquarters Director Baek Ju-hyung, and representatives from Silla University, Renault Korea Motors, and first-tier suppliers.
In 2022, Silla University was selected for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s ‘Busan-type Smart Manufacturing Advanced Workforce Development Project’ and has been operating a smart manufacturing field education program to cultivate advanced talent for the eco-friendly future automotive parts industry.
The advanced workforce trained through the field education program is supported in finding employment at local companies, and this has greatly contributed to improving corporate productivity.

View original imageBusan Metropolitan Council Chairman Ahn Seong-min, who attended the event, said, “If smart manufacturing technology is added to Busan’s manufacturing industries such as automotive parts and transportation equipment, which have played a major role in Korea’s economic development, it is possible to expect a new leap forward for the Busan economy.”
He added, “I hope this event, co-hosted by Renault Korea Motors and Silla University’s Smart Manufacturing Advanced Workforce Development Project Group, will contribute to revitalizing Busan’s parts manufacturing industry and help boost the Busan economy.”
Silla University President Heo Nam-sik said, “We expect a high level of smart manufacturing in the manufacturing industry through the industry-academic cooperation between Silla University’s Smart Manufacturing Advanced Workforce Development Project Group and Renault Korea Motors.”
He emphasized, “Silla University will actively support ensuring that the talents trained through the Smart Manufacturing Advanced Workforce Development Project and the industry-academic cooperation program support not only Busan’s manufacturing industry but also the smart transformation of Korea’s automotive parts manufacturing industry.”
