Imsil County Library Operates 'Reading Month Program'
Jeonbuk Imsil County Library announced on the 11th that it will operate various programs under the theme "Let's Open Up Books and Dreams" to improve the cultural welfare of local residents in celebration of September as Reading Month.
This Reading Month event plans to encourage library use and provide various cultural experience opportunities that can spark interest in reading by offering educational, exhibition, and participatory programs.

First, a random event for library users called "Unexpected Gift" will be held, giving gifts to selected users such as the first borrower of the day and those who find event coupons hidden on the shelves, aiming to revitalize library use.
Additionally, an exhibition corner titled "Extreme Job: Library Books" featuring damaged books will be set up to raise awareness among library users about book damage and foster a sense of ownership toward library books.
On the 14th, a special lecture titled "From Picture Books to Reading Books" will be held for parents or caregivers raising children, with children's book author Park Chaeran invited as the instructor to discuss how to raise proactive children through reading.
On the 16th, a one-day special class called "Saturday Emotional Painting Class" will be prepared, focusing on acrylic canvas painting.
Furthermore, the 2023 Imsil County Library Reading Awards, "Reader's Study" book curation, amnesty for overdue borrowers, and "Deumbuk (Book) Dream" programs will be operated to promote library use and the culture of reading.
County Governor Shim Min said, "I hope this event will encourage residents to use the library more actively and bring books closer to their daily lives."
