Daesung Energy Spends 5 Million Won to Give Chuseok Gifts to 100 Underprivileged Households
Daesung Energy (CEO Yoon Hong-sik) participated in the ‘Chuseok Hope Package’ sharing event and donated 5 million KRW on the 11th at the auditorium on the 1st floor of the Daegu branch of the Korean Red Cross (Chairman Park Myung-soo).
The Hope Package sharing activity is held ahead of Chuseok, the traditional Korean holiday, to comfort and show warmth to marginalized neighbors who may feel even greater loneliness. This year marks the fourth year of participation, producing and delivering 100 sets of hope packages filled with gifts.

View original imageOn the day of the event, Daesung Energy employees, together with the Red Cross Volunteer Society Buk-gu District Council, packed hope package gift sets consisting of eight types of daily necessities such as instant meals, canned food, and health supplements. They visited vulnerable groups in the Buk-gu area to deliver the packages, check on their well-being, and share warm kindness.
Yoon Hong-sik, CEO of Daesung Energy, said, “During holidays, marginalized neighbors often feel more loneliness and isolation. I hope everyone can have a warm Chuseok holiday through small sharing and attention.” He added, “All Daesung Energy employees will continue to strive to take the lead in spreading a culture of sharing for the marginalized in the community.”
