Boseong-gun Selected as an Excellent Institution for Reducing Local Tax Arrears

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 11th that it was selected as an excellent institution and received a commendation award in the ‘2023 First Half Local Tax Carryover Delinquency Reduction’ evaluation hosted by Jeollanam-do.

This evaluation was conducted on 22 cities and counties in Jeollanam-do, based on three indicators from January to June: the collection rate of carryover delinquent taxes, the scale of collection, and the increase in collection rate compared to the previous year.

Boseong-gun secured the 4th place in the province and obtained prize money.

To reduce local tax delinquency and expand local finances, Boseong-gun promoted various and active collection activities such as seizure and public auction of assets of chronic and habitual delinquents, seizure and collection of deposits, and confiscation of license plates of delinquent vehicles.

A Boseong-gun official said, “We will continue to actively discover various delinquency collection methods,” and added, “We will do our best to raise residents’ awareness of local tax payment and to foster a culture of sincere tax payment.”
