Accident Occurs During Boiler Valve Inspection
On the 11th, a boiler pipe explosion occurred at the Seocheon Thermal Power Plant in Chungnam, resulting in one death and three serious injuries.
According to the police and fire authorities, at around 10:54 a.m. that day, a pipe exploded in the boiler room on the 5th floor of the main building of the Seocheon Thermal Power Plant in Seocheon-gun, Chungnam.
Due to the high-pressure steam leak caused by the accident, subcontractor employee A (50) was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest but died. Additionally, three employees, including B (36), sustained burns and are receiving treatment at the hospital.
The accident occurred while inspecting the boiler valve. The explosion did not lead to a fire.
