In particular, with this Chuseok becoming a long holiday due to the designation of a temporary holiday, the district expects an increase in vehicle traffic and has expanded the number of vehicles eligible for free inspection from the previous 300 to 380. The inspection targets passenger cars owned by Yangcheon-gu residents and will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on September 17th.
The free inspection, organized by the Yangcheon-gu branch of the Seoul Automobile Professional Maintenance Business Association, will involve 30 maintenance technicians who hold professional certifications and skills.
The main inspection items include ▲engine oil ▲coolant ▲battery ▲engine ▲tires ▲lighting devices ▲air pressure, covering overall basic vehicle maintenance. If necessary, free services such as wiper and bulb replacement and engine oil replenishment will be provided.
Minor issues found during the inspection will be repaired on-site, and for vehicles requiring detailed inspection, inspection sheets will be distributed along with explanations to facilitate maintenance at specialized shops.
Additionally, on the day of the inspection, the Green Environment Division of the district office will conduct emission measurements and encourage owners of vehicles exceeding the allowable standards to perform maintenance, taking the lead in realizing carbon neutrality.
The district has been conducting the free vehicle inspection project annually since 1998 to ensure a safe journey home, with a cumulative total of about 4,000 vehicles inspected to date.
