Despite the early autumn weather with lingering heat, a large crowd visited from the first day, and especially at night, various events were held under the splendid lighting of the Usuyeong tourist site, keeping the festival’s excitement alive until late at night.
The opening day began with a departure parade of residents from Haenam and Jindo crossing the Jindo Bridge, followed by an immersive extended reality (XR immersive media) performance combining live acting by actors and 3D visuals on a large LED screen, and a reenactment of the Myeongnyang naval battle, filling the Uldolmok sea with vivid emotion.
In particular, the drone show featuring over 1,000 drones recreating the naval battle in the sky and engraving Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s quotes was the highlight of the event, capturing everyone’s attention.
