Busan Port Authority Announces Recruitment of Participating Companies for the '2023 Busan Port Partner ESG Support Project'
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) has decided to implement the ‘Busan Port Partner ESG Support Project’ in collaboration with KB Kookmin Bank (Bank President Lee Jae-geun) and is recruiting participating companies.
This project is designed to comprehensively support ESG management diagnosis and consulting to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) partnering with Busan Port, which face difficulties in adopting ESG management due to budget and manpower shortages, strengthen their ESG response capabilities.
Based on international standards, the project diagnoses the non-financial aspects of companies and provides improvement measures and solutions in the ESG field through on-site visits. The diagnostic items include ▲ labor rights ▲ safety and health ▲ environment ▲ ethical management.
The 2023 support target is SMEs engaged in construction and maintenance of Busan Port, which must have contract records with BPA within the last five years.
Companies wishing to participate can download the application form from the BPA website under ‘ESG Management’ → ‘Win-Win Growth’ → ‘Notices’, fill it out, and submit it via email by September 19.
