KT&G Sangsangmadang Hosts the 15th Daedanhan Short Film Festival
Over 600 Entries Submitted
25 Finalists Screened and Award Ceremony Held
KT&G announced on the 6th that it will hold the "15th Great Short Film Festival" at KT&G Sangsangmadang Hongdae from the 7th to the 12th.
Started in 2007, the Great Short Film Festival is a cultural contribution program implemented by KT&G Sangsangmadang to discover and support leading short films in Korea.
During the festival, 25 works that advanced to the finals after preliminary screening will be screened at KT&G Sangsangmadang Cinema from a total of 601 short films submitted through a call for entries in June. In addition, 20 short films including 4 award-winning works from last year and 5 works participated by judges will be additionally screened. At the closing ceremony held on the 12th, awards will be presented to 7 outstanding works selected through audience evaluation and expert judging, and prize money and trophies will be awarded to the winners.

Shim Young-ah, head of KT&G's Social Contribution Office, said, "The Great Short Film Festival has contributed to expanding the base of the domestic independent film industry and has been a gateway for new directors and actors," adding, "We hope this festival will become a celebration that both audiences and filmmakers can enjoy."
