On the afternoon of the 5th, Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the '11th Yeongdeungpo-gu Senior Hangung Competition' held at the Korea Racing Authority Yeongdeungpo Branch and made a pitch.
This event was organized to promote the health of local seniors and to activate a healthy leisure culture. It was hosted by the Yeongdeungpo Branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association, with about 150 participants including senior athletes and cheering squads.
The Hangung competition is a record game where players pitch Hangung pins on the Hangung board 5 times each with the left and right hands, totaling 10 pitches, and the player with the highest score wins. Mayor Choi personally participated in the Hangung pitching and spent time communicating with the senior athletes.
