Seodaemun-gu Saemaeul Women's Association Sharing Happiness Market Opens
On the 12th, recycled and unused clothing and household items donated by each neighborhood will be sold at the district office plaza.
Seodaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Seongheon) will hold the "Sharing Happiness Market" at the district office plaza on the 12th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to promote natural circulation and the culture of sharing within the community.
This event, which had been suspended due to social distancing measures, is being held again after four years. It is organized by the Seodaemun-gu Saemaeul Women's Association (President Choi Eunmi) with participation from the Saemaeul Women's Associations of each neighborhood.
Visitors to the event can purchase recycled and unused clothing and household items donated by each neighborhood, as well as eco-friendly dishcloths and handkerchiefs made directly by the Saemaeul Women's Association.
The Women's Association will also operate a direct agricultural products market and sell traditional foods such as Sikhye and Kkwabaegi at the food stall. Additionally, a carbon neutrality campaign will be conducted.
Lee Seongheon, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, said, "We look forward to the active interest and participation of residents in the Sharing Happiness Market, a place to practice 'Anabada'?saving, sharing, exchanging, and reusing?and to show love for the environment."
