Sejong Telecom and Hana Alternative Investment Asset Management Sign Business Agreement for Real Estate Fractional Investment
Sejong Telecom (CEO Lee Byung-guk) announced on the 5th that it has signed a business agreement with Hana Alternative Investment Asset Management to promote the "blockchain-based real estate collective investment and profit distribution service."
Sejong Telecom, a mid-sized telecommunications company listed on KOSDAQ, operates blockchain-based businesses in various industries such as real estate and healthcare. Since 2021, it has been operating the real estate collective investment and profit distribution service "BBRIC" in the Busan Blockchain Regulatory Free Zone designated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Hana Alternative Investment Asset Management was also registered last month on the 9th as a consortium participant in the "Busan Blockchain (additional) Regulatory Free Zone, real estate collective investment and profit distribution service" through a notification by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Through this agreement, Hana Alternative Investment Asset Management will be responsible for ▲ sourcing real estate products ▲ submitting and registering securities reports ▲ real estate asset management and risk management ▲ real estate liquidation within the BBRIC service.
This service is better known as "real estate fractional investment, BBRIC." On July 28, the amendment bills to the Electronic Securities Act and the Capital Markets Act were proposed, making it one of the pilot projects for "Security Token Offering (STO)," which is gaining attention as a future growth engine. In particular, BBRIC applies a smart contract system throughout the entire service, minimizing risks such as errors, fraud, and forgery that may occur during transactions, enabling more transparent and secure transactions.
Hana Alternative Investment Asset Management is a leading asset management company in Korea with KRW 10.6189 trillion in assets under custody and 226 funds under management (as of the end of the first half of this year). Based on extensive experience in real estate project investments, it is expected to cooperate in managing various risk factors and ensuring stable product sourcing, management, and liquidation.
