'Wage Arrears Consultation'... Gyeonggi-do to Operate Labor Consultation Centers from the 4th at Suwon Station and Others
Gyeonggi Province will operate a 'Visiting Labor Counseling Center' ahead of the Chuseok holiday to resolve difficulties faced by workers suffering from issues such as wage arrears.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 3rd that it will run the Visiting Labor Counseling Center at nine local job centers within the province from the 4th to the 27th of this month.
The labor counseling schedule includes nine subway stations: Anyang Station, Suwon Station, and Uijeongbu Station on Line 1; Baekseok Station on Line 3; Yadang Station, Geumchon Station, and Haengsin Station on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line; Chunui Station on Line 7; and Janggi Station on the Gimpo Goldline. Additionally, the centers are located in nine regional job centers in Seongnam, Namyangju, Siheung, Ansan, Bucheon, Pyeongtaek, Yongin, Icheon, and Yeoju.
Workers residing in Gyeonggi Province or working at workplaces located in Gyeonggi Province can receive free labor consultations. Consultations are available not only for wage arrears but also for employment contract drafting, annual leave, unfair dismissal, industrial accidents, workplace harassment, and more.
In particular, labor consultations in preparation for the Chuseok holiday will be linked with the Ministry of Employment and Labor's 'Intensive Guidance Period for Prevention and Settlement of Wage Arrears' during the holiday period to help promptly resolve workers' wage arrears issues.
Specific consultation locations and times can be checked on the Gyeonggi Labor Rights Center website.
If on-site visits are difficult, telephone consultations are also available on weekdays from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM through the Gyeonggi Labor Rights Center consultation office (031-8030-4541).
