A man in his 30s who posted a message online threatening a stabbing rampage at Bucheon Station in Gyeonggi Province has been indicted and is in custody. On the 31st, the Criminal Division 2 of the Bucheon Branch of Incheon District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Heo Jun) announced that A (30) was arrested and prosecuted on charges of intimidation and obstruction of official duties by deception.
Earlier, A is accused of obstructing police work by posting a comment saying "Bucheon Station 7 o'clock, target 5 people" on an online article about a stabbing rampage incident at Seohyeon Station in Bundang at 6:55 p.m. on the 6th. This comment led to a 112 emergency call, resulting in over 100 police officers being dispatched to Bucheon Station, causing citizens to express anxiety. The police tracked the Internet Protocol (IP) address and investigated A on the 8th by voluntary accompaniment before arresting him.
