Democratic Peaceful Unification Advisory Council Gyeongbuk Regional Meeting Appoints Vice Chairman Kim Ha-young
The National Unification Advisory Council (Chairman Yoon Seok-yeol) presented a certificate of appointment to Kim Ha-young (70), Vice Chairman of the Gyeongbuk Regional Council.
Kim Ha-young, the newly appointed Vice Chairman of Gyeongbuk, was born in Gunwi-gun, graduated with a master's degree from Kyungil University Graduate School, and is currently serving as the chairman of the social welfare foundation Baeksonghoe, personally practicing service to the local community with the spirit of sharing, giving, and serving.

Vice Chairman Kim Ha-young expressed, “As I have been entrusted with the responsibility to promote peaceful unification based on liberal democracy for a two-year term from September 2023 to the end of August 2025, I will do my best to communicate and share opinions with the residents of Gyeongbuk to demonstrate Gyeongbuk’s unified will for unification.”

The National Unification Advisory Council is a constitutional institution directly under the president, established based on Article 92 of the Constitution. It plays a role in advising and recommending policies for democratic peaceful unification to the president. It has regional councils in 17 cities and provinces nationwide, councils for the five northern provinces, and five overseas regional councils.
