Samyang Holdings announced on the 31st that CEO Eom Tae-woong has joined the 'Single-Use Products Zero Challenge.'
The Single-Use Products Zero Challenge is a nationwide campaign initiated by the Ministry of Environment to raise awareness about the use of single-use products and to encourage the habitual use of reusable products.
Samyang Holdings has been continuously carrying out activities to reduce the use of single-use products within the company and to enable employees to practice environmental protection, including ▲introducing strawless lids at the in-house cafe ▲offering discounts on beverages when using personal tumblers ▲minimizing paper documents and encouraging the use of scrap paper ▲producing eco-friendly goods made from recycled plastic waste ▲hosting plogging events involving employees.
CEO Eom participated in this challenge after being nominated by SM Shipping CEO Yoo Jo-hyuk, and he recommended Chairman Choi Hyun-man of Mirae Asset Securities and CEO Lee Sung-jae of Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance as the next participants.
