A Drunk Driver in His 30s Crashes into the National Assembly Main Gate

View original imageA man in his 30s was caught after crashing into the main gate of the National Assembly while driving drunk in the early morning.
The Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 30th that they have detained and are investigating a man in his 30s, Mr. A, on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act.
Mr. A is suspected of drunk driving near the National Assembly building at around 3:20 a.m. the previous day. During the driving, he crashed into the National Assembly main gate and the barrier, then drove further inside the premises before stopping.

Mr. A's blood alcohol concentration was 0.19%, which is at the level for license cancellation. It was confirmed that Mr. A is not an employee working within the National Assembly. The police plan to summon Mr. A for questioning.
