Jungnang-gu Launches 'My Neighborhood Guardian'
On the 28th, the inauguration ceremony was held to officially mark the beginning of activities for the ‘My Neighborhood Guardian’ who will protect various areas of Jungnang-gu.
Composed of 168 residents of Jungnang-gu, the ‘My Neighborhood Guardian’ will patrol local areas and report daily inconveniences to the Seoul 120 Call Center to help ensure they are resolved promptly.
The inauguration ceremony began with an oath by the representative of the My Neighborhood Guardian, followed by a welcoming speech from Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi encouraging future activities, and a meet-and-greet among the neighborhood-based guardians. After the ceremony, training on how to report on-site complaints was conducted, hosted by the Seoul Citizen Audit Ombudsman Committee.
